How we handle your details

What we keep when you register, why, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

  • Your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and city and state. All are required.
  • The programs you are signing up for.
  • How you heard about us, which is optional.

What we do not ask for

  • Your street address or date of birth.
  • Anything about your health, family or beliefs.

Why we ask

  • To stay in touch with you about the programs you chose.
  • Your phone number is used to invite you to the sangha's BAND group.
  • By registering you sign up for email updates about talks, gatherings and events. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Registering does not admit anyone to a group or to the Practice Manual. The team sends invitations by hand.

Who can see it

  • A small number of Sangha administrators, behind a passphrase.
  • We do not sell or share your details.
  • Your details are stored with Neon, a database service in the United States.

How long we keep it

  • Until you ask us to remove it.
  • We keep a dated record of when you signed up for email updates or asked us to stop, so we can honor it.

Your choices

  • Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us, and we will stop email updates, correct your details, or remove them entirely.
  • If you unsubscribe, registering again will not turn email updates back on. Write to us if you change your mind.

What the website counts

  • Page visits and listens are counted in totals, without cookies and without your name or email.
  • When you register, the site counts that one registration happened and which programs were chosen. It never attaches your name, email or phone number to that count.

To ask about your details, write to admin@bodhicitta.us.
